RAWAX welcomes Alland Byallo to the family! We're happy to have this great producer on board with an outstanding special vinyl only release!
Cataloging an impressive list of labels that include Third Ear, Liebe*Detail, Cocoon and BPitch Control along with his own label Bad Animal, Alland Byallo now adds Rawax to the list with this his first EP for the German label.
Having previously released on Housewax Ltd, which is the Rawax sister label, Alland has been welcomed with open arms into the labels family of artists and presents this stunning four track EP of deep and broken Techno.
Track one titled “Fawn” starts with ethereal pads and broken rhythms that quickly develop with thick stabs and deep atmospherics. Not an obvious dancefloor track but a piece of fine art intricately pieced together with love and care. The track builds in intensity making it perfect for home listening or the ideal tool to start a DJ set.
The EP’s second track titled “Goldet” is more up temp and dancefloor focused than Fawn with a solid four to the floor groove and fast flowing Hi-Hats. Dramatic pads intertwine with a delicate acid line and a gentle melody to create a dream like soundscape. Although uplifting the track is raw and gritty with mechanical percussion that washed round the mix.
Third on the release is “Idi” which from the offset takes no prisoners with heavy percussion and thick bass swells. The broken rhythms and thick pads create a dark atmosphere, which is stark contrast to the light and breezy vocal sample. A clear influence from the Hessle Audio camp can be felt in this bass heavy Techno with the sole purpose of making your body move!
Finishing the EP is “Unbuckled ll” which fuses an array of unusual sounds and contrasting textures. Distinctively individual it starts with a looped water chime sample which sits underneath Detroit influenced pads. Four to the floor but with a the heavy shuffle, the groove is infectious and brought to life by the powerful lead synth, which sounds like it came from another dimension.
