Mr. Fonk founded „All that jelly“ in 2016, as a sublabel of „Smile for a while.“ Mostly focussing on his DJ ventures „Karen's Piano“ is his first full EP. Produced around 2014, remixed three years later. It was signed by a big label but never saw the light of day. Now it's out in all its beauty: A timeless mashup of Disco samples, sweet strings, bouncy bass lines and classic 909 beats. On top comes a 90s House piano and diva-style vocals. Four mixes by producer friends round up a perfect oldschool House record.

From Grenoble with love: rising newcomer Endrik Schroeder makes his debut on Beartrax’s Melodize with two brazen blasts of technicolour synth luxury which are accompanied by two sublime remixes from Chinaski and Benjamin Fröhlich.
Following releases on the likes of Zone, Ritmo Fatale, Bordello A Parigi and most recently Mélopée, Endrik’s fizzy fusion of Italo, new wave, disco and good old fashioned house music hits the feels as we’re whisked away on a bubbly, upbeat synth disco trip with big sweeping chords, dubby kicks and an essence of Yazoo to the riff. Meanwhile on the remix, Robert Johnson’s Chinaski keeps the positive flavour but gives it a Metro Area coat of arms for good measure.
‘Same Day’ carries a little more poignancy. Moving through scenes like the soundtrack to a chips-are-down sequence, there’s a sense of momentum and faraway triumph to the groove, which is consequently flipped into a whole other perspective as Permanent Vacation co-boss Benjamin Fröhlich applies the breaks for a remix that sits somewhere between Bicep and cinematic breaks legends Hybrid. Same day, next day, every day – we live for feels like this.

The main artist is MONOSOUL who we know as a serious Deep House Pimp from Frank Music, Tieffrequent and many other labels. Then we got a featuring of JOHANNES ALBERT, who's running the Frank Music label. We've known him for 13 years now – that seems like forever. And then we've got a real shooting star, a real music maniac: BORROWED IDENTITY with a remix.
First we've got „June“ an epic late night jam with devastating beats. Makes you feel like trapped somewhere in space, hearing nothing but your heartbeat and seeing the sunrise over beautiful planet earth. Ground control to Major Tom, commencing countdown engines on!
Then there's „New World“ - a track featuring JOHANNES ALBERT. Synth-heavy, analogue bassline-loaded, this deep tune sends you dancing on the floor, no matter if during peak time or at 7 am. The little Acid line on top of the track gives it the little extra creamer you'll need to freak out completely.
„Face shift“ totally reshuffles the cards of this release. All of sudden you feel like dancing in New Jersey in 1992, hands in the air like you really do care. Just as a matter of course, making the original feel authentic, there's the notorious cowbell that you've all been waiting for. Clap your hands say yeah!
The final track on S4AW 003 is the remix of „June“ by BORROWED IDENTITY. Our good friend has started to waste dancefloors from Berlin's Panoramabar to London, Paris & Ibiza – just like we've predicted. He has carefully re-touched the intense original tune and made it a little „housier“, more bouncey and stripped-down, while maintaining the great Space feel to it. A real slammer, music for freaks and their friends!
