“First track is too classic, a sound we can now hear too
often on Snuff Trax. Sorry. Second track starts in the same
vein (with a very similar start as Phuture's 'Acid Tracks'...
not so oddly...) and, by some kind of magic trick, evolves
into sthg light as a feather, aerial and deep. Love it. Track
3: FAAAAAT! HUUUUGE! fat, bottom-heavy bass and
techno rhythm, phat as f**! FAVORITE! 4th track is
excellent too.
In short: except the first track that sounds like déjà-vu,
the sound has evolved and it seems it is now time to
come back to the present, and update the sound that once
made the label famed for. Not saying it has to leave its
old school roots behind, just that some updates are
welcome, like the current tracks showcase it brilliantly!
