this March with his ‘Hydrocity Reflex’ EP, comprised of four original soul drenched House Jams.
Cinthie’s 803 Crystal Grooves Collective Cuts welcomes Black Eyes with a fresh four-track EP that distils the
Manchester-born, Berlin-based artist’s signature aesthetic into its purest form. Fusing deep, trippy and soulful
house with a raw, Detroit-leaning sensibility, Black Eyes channels the influence of House music’s roots into
rolling rhythms and fluid textures alongside shaped by his enduring love of water. Now firmly embedded in
Berlin’s underground while carrying the grit of his northern roots, he delivers a release that feels both
immersive and driving a natural fit for 803 Crystal Grooves’ dance floor focused sonic vision.
Opening the EP is ‘Can You Dig That Depth’, an emotive slice of House driven by saturated keys, soulful vocal lines,
heavily swung drums and a buoyant bassline. ‘Pressure Malfunction’ follows, stripping things back to organic
percussion, sweeping filtered funk loops and intricately processed spoken-word chants.
The B-side begins with ‘Loyalty To Tha Deep’, living up to its name as it embraces classic Deep House sensibilities
through choppy, airy chord progressions, hypnotic breathy vocals, fluttering melodies and slow-slung, crunchy
drums. ‘Funky Oxygen’ then brings the release to a close, channelling the spirit of Motor City House with a refined
blend of cut-up samples, shuffled percussion, jazzy keys and a snaking bass groove.

house sound that blend energy, groove and 90s nostalgic melodies with Detroit, Chicago
and Italo flavours. this new EP represents me best and explains better than words. The
entire EP was produced using a 90s sampler without using a computer, I'm very proud of
the result! I hope you enjoy it!’’
Title-cut ‘Lose My Mind’ leads, laying down crisp saturated drums, crunchy stab
sequences, choppy vocal hooks and bright strings all dynamically evolving throughout for
ultimate dance floor impact. ‘Sunday Remedy’ follows with bumpy breaks, a weighty kick
and amalgamation of vocal samples in combination with gritty bass stabs and classic
piano chords to perfectly encapsulate the essence of house.
Opening the flip-side is ‘Down The Street’, diving deeper with airy chords, breathy vocal
chants and bouncy bass stabs intertwined with a more raw, reduced rhythm section. The
aptly titled ‘Smooth As Butter’ then rounds out the release with a nod to the Detroit House
sound, fusing shimmering keys with jazzy drums, twinkling chime melodies and lowpitched
vocals across its near five minute duration.

Cinthie returns to her 803 Crystal Grooves label with You Know How EP
German mainstay offers up three varied and vital house weapons to relaunch her label after 2.5
year hiatus
Cinthie is one the most revered voices in underground house music and has been for more than
a decade. Her take on the genre always puts the groove first. It is informed by the classics but
with a contemporary edge and comes on 803 Crystal Grooves as well as cultured outlets like
Aus Music and Heist. As a DJ she mixes up records from her vast collection with equal style and
skill, and is also now live artist who serves up impromptu jams on her collection of hardware.
Hot on the heels of several remixes already this year, the Elevate. Berlin record store boss is
back with a new release just three days before her birthday. As a gift to herself she is
relaunching her label after a 2.5 year hiatus due to pressing plant delays during the pandemic.
Opener 'You Know How' is a joyous piano house anthem that will get hands in the air. Classic,
smartly deployed vocal samples inject an old-school edge while the textured bass brings serious
low-end weight to this utterly timeless gem. The superb 'Mellifluous' rides on smooth drum
bumps as waves of synth wash over the dance floor. They bring feel-good warmth in a subtle,
dynamic fashion that locks dancers in for a blissed-out ride. Last of all, 'Can You' swings
irresistibly with punchy kicks and dry, raw claps. It's a physical house sound with chopped-up
vocal fragments and rolling bass that makes a huge impact.

Hamburg's GOME joins the roster of Cinthie's 803 Crystal Grooves Collective Cuts sub-label here with a new fourtrack
EP entitled 'Free Refill', featuring a collaboration with James Juke.
GOME is shaking up dance floors worldwide with a raw, 90s-inspired House sound infused with Funk, Soul and
Disco. Having built a strong reputation through releases on Heist Recordings and his own Snackwax imprint,
GOME has earned support from leading DJs and performed at renowned venues including Robert Johnson (DE),
Berghain (DE), Golden Pudel (DE), Shelter (NL), Lofi (NL) or Blitz, to name but a few. Alongside celebrated live
hardware performances and the community-focused "GOME + The Gang" events, GOME has become known for
an authentic DIY approach, making this new 'Free Refill' project a fitting addition to the Collective Cuts catalogue.
Leading the EP is the collaborative 'Keep The Party Going' with James Juke, an apt title for a frenzied five-anda-
half-minute House jam featuring swinging, snappy drums, siren-like synth swells, gritty chord stabs and an
amalgamation of vocal hooks throughout. 'Extraordinary' follows, employing a gritty electro-leaning bassline,
a crunchy off-kilter rhythm section, twitchy arpeggio lines and a loopy, infectious vocal refrain.
On the flip-side, 'CONGRATULATIONS' sees GOME lean heavily into House roots, perfectly aligned with the Crystal
Grooves sonic aesthetic. Harkening back to 90s rave culture, it combines shimmering piano hooks, squelchy 303
licks, robust 909 drums and murky low-pitched vocals. 'You Make' then closes the EP, a loop-led cut fuelled by
circling synth lines, bright strings, a bouncy low end and a fluttering vocal hook.
